Jaz Tan Siaw Pei
Jaz Tan specializes in piano, harp and kindermusik education. She formerly worked as the Head of Classical Music Degree Program as well as Assistant Professor in UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur.
Apart from being a solo pianist, she also works as a collaborative pianist and performed in many choral, opera and musical events/productions. She performed in the 1st Asian Grand Piano Concert at the Plenary Hall of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (2009) , Piano Duet Recital with Dr. Lim Pei Sien at UCSI University (2012) and Piano Duet Recital with Ms Ysan Suit Yin at UCSI University (2015).
Also a part-time harp performer, she performed in many functions, including Konsert Menjunjung Kasih Orchestra IPT 2006 for Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Ke-12, “Jambatan” Concert held in Kuala Lumpur with Mr. Loo Bang Hean and Ms. Keiko Nakagawa (2008) and Johor Bahru Annual Arts Festival (2009).
Being a music educator, Jaz Tan has helped students achieving excellent results in many examinations and competitions. One of her students had recently attended Trinity’s Awards & Concert 2015 and was awarded an Outstanding Achievers Award.
Jaz Tan graduated from University of Western Ontario, Canada with a Master of Music degree specializing in piano performance. Her piano teachers include Professor Maureen Volk, Professor Kristina Szutor, Ms. Tina Yanchus and Ms. Carla Furlong (harp).
Leong Mann Yee
A co-founder of Elysee Music, Leong Mann Yee is an experienced piano teacher and a certified Kindermusik educator.
Her teaching areas focus on applied piano, music theory, aural, ensemble coaching and music research. She was previously the Head of Program for Foundation in Music and Assistant Professor at UCSI University, Institute of Music.
Mann Yee is an MPhil (Performance) graduate from the Royal Northern College of Music, who obtained her MMus from Birmingham Conservatoire. During her studying years, she had participated in the RNCM Ravel Festival 2007 and the International Asia Chopin Piano Competition in Tokyo 2004. Since year 2011, she had performed several piano duet and duo recitals with Dr. Christine Tan Yunn Bing. Their recent performances included a lecture-recital conducted at the National Taichung University of Education in 2013.
Apart from teaching, Mann Yee is also sought after as an adjudicator. She has served as a guest adjudicator in the International Piano Festival and Competition (IPFC) 2014 and in regional music school competitions.
